What I’m protecting fiercely in 2026 - and you should too.

Happy New Year to you all.

I hope 2025 ended well for you, your business and your loved ones. And I hope you’ve had the opportunity to take a break over the festive holiday season and a chance to reflect on 2025, maybe even make some high level intentions for 2026. 

For me, the end of 25 -start of 26 have been my busiest in business yet - for this time of year. 

Being Summer here in NZ, I would usually take most of January off, however this year I’m back to work 5th Jan, kicking off a new client briefing meeting at 9.30am on day 1! 

My clients are currently building Corporate Academies, Membership Societies, SAAS platforms, Learning Centres and more with my Done for you and Consulting support services. 

I can feel a sense of action taking and excitement from my clients and theirs. 

This is the kind of energy I want to carry through the rest of 2026. 

Yesterday I watched my Kajabi biz friend Lane Sebring latest video on YouTube.  While Lane is a pro at creating great value content on YouTube (consistent af), this latest video was a little different -  a documentary of his 2025 health journey. While the journey itself was super inspiring, there was one line he mentioned that caught my attention: 

“Your Business can only grow at the speed of your energy” 

- read that again. 

For me this was a mic drop moment. 

You see, my word of the year for 2026 is Consistency - but now I’ve added another layer to that. Consistency can only happen with enough Energy; which is now my main priority and focus in 2026. 

For me that means:

• adding more movement & mindset habits to my week, 
• advocating for my own health needs and;
• fiercely protecting the content I consume (scrolling, reading, watching) and the people I choose to work, collaborate and network with.

That alongside my already great eating (excluding festive season!) and sleeping - this feels like a good recipe for success in 2026.

Over the break I began reading Habits of High Performers by James Laughlin (Host of #1 podcast Lead on Purpose), which I can highly recommend - even while I’m still mid-read! 

Unlike a lot of other personal and professional development books, this one has intentional action steps to implement within each chapter as you read.  And my favourite takeaway from the book so far - you don’t have to get up at 5am and take an ice bath each morning to be successful. Phew!

In 2025 I also invested in some upskilling for my business and finances.  re-Learning how to run Meta ad campaigns was one of the best investments I made via Zach’s FB Ads bootcamp where I got all up to date and strategic with my lead and retargeting ads.  Rather than throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping it would stick (or spending $$$ on unknown results!) - I finally gained confidence and understood how to read the data in order to make informed decisions when creating and tweaking ads.
